Remedy studio is restarting development of the shooter Vanguard, which was originally planned as a free-to-play shooter. Now it will be a paid game, and its name will change to Kestrel.
The developers note that the game will still have a strong emphasis on the competitive co-op aspect. It will probably be diluted with a story-based single player campaign, but this is not certain yet. The development is also being financed by the Chinese holding Tencent, with which Remedy has already agreed on a new format for the project.
A release date for Kestrel has not yet been announced. The game will go to the concept development stage with an analysis of options for further development.
