The Embracer Group holding has carried out massive layoffs in the camp of the developers of the Insurgency military shooter duology. According to sources, dozens of employees have lost their jobs, and management, if possible, is transferring them to other places within their organization.
Despite this, EG says that support for Insurgency: Sandstorm will continue, as will the production of future titles. Apparently, the managers decided to significantly thin out the staff, even if this leads to a decrease in the pace of work.
In addition to this company, this year there have been personnel changes at Volition, the company responsible for the Red Faction and Saints Row franchises (both are also part of Embracer's internal companies).
