NVIDIA is ceasing production of GeForce GTX 16 series video cards, according to information provided by the authors of the Board Channels website. The company plans to complete production of GPUs by the end of the first quarter of 2024.

In the current 2023, two models from the GTX 16 series are still on the market - 1650 and 1630. A year earlier, NVIDIA ceased production of the GTX 1660 and 1660 Super.

The GeForce GTX 16 series was introduced on February 22, 2019, starting with the GTX 1630 and ending with the GTX 1660 Ti.

Experts on the VideoCardz site note that after the completion of production of the GTX 16, NVIDIA's most affordable graphics card will be the RTX 3050, which is currently sold in the US for $230. In Russia, the average cost of a GPU is 23,000 rubles.

At the end of November, NVIDIA's most powerful video card, the RTX 4090, rose in price all over the world due to American sanctions and a ban on supplies to China.
