The release date of the film “Wonka” in Russian cinemas has become known

Unofficial release starts on December 23, 2023, according to information from CINEMAPLEX. There is no exact information yet about which theaters this film will be shown in.

The international premiere of “Wonka” took place on December 15, 2023, and in the first five days of release, the film earned about $162 million worldwide, of which almost $49 million came from the United States. Considering a budget of $125 million, successful recoupment requires fees of approximately $250 million.

"Wonka" is a prequel to the novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", which has previously been filmed twice (in 1971 by Mel Stewart and in 2006 by Tim Burton). The plot focuses on the story of young Willy Wonka before he opened his famous candy factory.
