Representatives of DICE studio are planning to implement in the next part of the Battlefield shooter series the coolest and most elaborate destructibility system.
This is indicated by the description of one of the vacancies posted by the studio on the resource Ripple Effect. The vacancy indicates the need for a VFX director, who will have to think and realize the coolest visual effects of destructibility in the next part of Battlefield.
In fact, there's a clear problem with that right now in the most recent installment of the series. The Finals, a free-to-play shooter created by DICE veterans, is a head and shoulders above Battlefield 2042 in terms of destructibility. And, after all, this feature has always been a key point for one of EA's core titles.
We don't know anything about the release date of the new Battlefield, nor about its concept.
The console release is still a long way off.
The creators of the series themselves reported this.
It looks like the series is about to be revived.
