Avowed game director Carrie Patel announced that in the game gamers will be given a choice to create a character of only 2 races: humans and elves. This is due to the story and technical limitations.
The hero in Avowed will appear as an envoy from the human-elven coalition. The gameplay of the project is realized in the format of RPG from the 1st person with elaborated physics and character animations. Apparently, Obsidian does not have a lot of resources for the realization of someone other than humans and elves (for example, the same Amaua or Eagles).
