IllFonic announced that it has acquired the rights to Predator: Hunting Grounds, an asymmetrical multiplayer shooter set for release in 2020 for PC and PS4 from Sony Interactive Entertainment. The company also announced plans to resume support for the game and release the project on additional platforms.
The game is expected to debut on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S by the end of this year. Patch 2.49 is scheduled for release in April and will focus on improving player movement mechanics and animations, balancing, and other aspects of the game. New Predator characters are scheduled to be introduced in Winter 2024 and Spring 2025.
In Predator: Hunting Grounds, players will have to fight a Predator, which is also played by a real person. Gamers team up with up to four people to complete missions, after which they need to organize a helicopter evacuation.
