Amazon will create a TV show based on Mass Effect

Amazon has almost completed a deal with EA, under which the company will receive the rights to adapt Mass Effect as a TV show.

The new series is scheduled to air on Prime Video. What will be taken as the basis of the plot is not yet known. As well as it is not clear whether we will see Captain Shepard at all.

Amazon is going to invest a lot of money in the creation of new fantastic adaptations. Recently, the Wheel of Time series was released on Prime Video. It became the most watched Amazon TV show this year. Another adaptation of the Lord of the Rings saga is scheduled to premiere next year.

In February of this year, Henry Cavill added to his Instagram a photo in which he is preparing for the role of Geralt (the second season of The Witcher). In addition, there is an unknown document in the photograph with the words "Cerberus", "Reaper", "Geth" and "Tali'Zorah". All of these words are related to the Mass Effect universe.

EA itself is in the midst of creating Mass Effect 5 right now. Release date is no earlier than 2023.
