Insider Daniel Richtman reported that SEGA has started development of Sonic Frontiers sequel. This decision is quite expected, given that the first part of the project sold more than 3 million copies.
Confirmation of Richtman's words came from another source, an insider named Midori. He specified that the new installment will continue to develop the concepts and gameplay of the original game.
Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The game received its last major update last September, including a new storyline and the ability to play as Tales, Knuckles, and Amy.
