Bohemia Interactive has officially announced the release of DayZ Frostline paid add-on. This add-on includes a winter map and several new mechanics. According to the DLC page in Steam, the release is scheduled for this fall.
The events of Frostline will take place on the Sahal Archipelago, which has an area of 83 square kilometers (not including ice sheets). The new location includes icy lakes, snow-covered forests, mountain ranges and more.
The Frostline add-on will bring new wildlife species available for hunting, new diseases, updated fishing mechanics and other elements to DayZ. In addition, winter cosmetics will be added to the game.
The console release is still a long way off.
