Paradox Interactive has announced that the development of the prison management simulator Prison Architect 2 has been handed over to Brazilian team Kokku. The publisher explained that it was not possible to conclude a new contract with Double Eleven, so the parties peacefully separated.
It is reported that the previous contract with Double Eleven ended when Prison Architect 2 passed certification on all platforms. Paradox Interactive clarified that development of the sequel has been in Kokku's hands since last fall.
In April, Paradox Interactive announced that the release of Prison Architect 2 had been postponed from May 7 to September 3. In the announcement, the developers noted that the game is ready, but is experiencing optimization issues and crashes. The cost of the game in Russian Steam is 2199 rubles. Russian translation will be available. Prison Architect 2 will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
