Larian Studios, developers of Baldur's Gate 3, announced the opening of a new studio in Warsaw, Poland, called Larian Studios Warsaw. This will be the company's seventh studio and the first in Poland. It will join other Larian studios located in Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Ireland, Malaysia, the UK and Spain.
The new studio will be involved in the development of two ambitious RPGs that are currently in production. However, details of these projects have not yet been revealed.
Last month, Larian announced that it has started work on two new games based on the company's original intellectual rights. The decision followed CEO Sven Vinke's announcement that the company intends to move away from the Dungeons & Dragons universe and try its hand in other directions.
We will not be making any major new changes to Baldur's Gate 3's plot or its characters and companions, nor will we be making expansions or Baldur's Gate 4. As an independent studio since 1996, we value the freedom to follow our creativity wherever it leads. In this case, after six years at Forgotten Realms and much discussion and thought, we decided to take this opportunity to develop our own IPs. We are currently working on two new projects and can't get excited about what the future holds. For now, things are still just getting started - we'll tell you more about them later. But know that even as we focus on these new games, the feelings that brought you Baldur's Gate 3 are alive and well here at Larian Castle.
This is an action movie based on Game of Thrones.
