DF rated the console version of System Shock Remake

John Linneman from Digital Foundry conducted a technical analysis of System Shock remake for consoles. The game was developed by Nightdive Studios, and it showed excellent results on both current and previous console generations.

The specialist separately noted the improved controller work and support for keyboard and mouse on consoles.

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X work in 4K with active dynamic resolution, providing a stable 60 FPS with rare braking.
  • Series S supports 1080p dynamic resolution.
  • PS4 and PS4 Pro run at 1080p.
  • Xbox One achieves 966p resolution, One S achieves 1080p, and One X achieves 2160p.
  • Previous generation consoles can only support System Shock Remake at 30 FPS.
  • Load times are 48 seconds on the previous generation versus 7 seconds on the current generation.
  • Motion blur, FOV and other settings are also available.

In April, a patch was released for System Shock Remake with a new final battle and the ability to play as a female character.
