According to recent announcements by developers from Obsidian, players will be able to choose between a first-person or third-person view in the upcoming RPG Avowed. Moreover, the project is in the final polish stage, allowing the team to focus on small details and improving them.
Carrie Patel, the game's designer, revealed that Avowed will feature a traditional skill progression system, allowing players to combine different styles - warrior, explorer and mage. Players will be able to create a character that follows a certain archetype or bring together the best of different specializations. At the same time, if the chosen skills are not to their liking, they can be reassigned for a fee.
Art director Matt Hansen also noted that Microsoft's support allows the Obsidian team to take on more risky creative decisions, as the financial risks are reduced. He said the developers are in a “very good position” to pay attention to small details and improve them.
