Elden Ring has reached 25 million copies, with users actively purchasing the game ahead of the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on. Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have reported on the game's success ahead of the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring, noting that 20 million people purchased the game in the first year after release, rising to 23 million by the second anniversary, with players purchasing an additional 2 million copies since February 2024.
