Todd Howard has expressed his desire to turn The Elder Scrolls 6 into a service game to keep players interested for a long time. He claims that constantly providing new content helps to retain the audience. A similar approach has already been taken with Bethesda's Fallout 76 and Starfield games.
Howard also believes that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4 should have also become service games and be supported for a longer period of time.
