Before the start of The Game Awards 2021, the list of nominees for game of the year was reduced to six participants: Deathloop , It Takes Two, Metroid Dread , Psychonauts 2 , Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart , Resident Evil Village . As a result, the title of the best game of the year was given to the co-op platformer It Takes Two. We remind you that Take-Two recently sued the creators of this game for similarity with the name of the title, as a result of which Hazelight was forced to abandon its IP.
