BioShock developers are looking for new employees

According to the latest news, the team working on the next game in the popular BioShock franchise is actively expanding its staff. Cloud Chamber, the studio created by 2K specifically to develop new BioShock games, has announced a large number of openings in various fields, including animation, engineering, design, storytelling and production.

This LinkedIn post from one of Cloud Chamber's employees indicates that the studio is ramping up work on a "truly awesome project." In addition, it was noted that the studio offers convenient conditions for remote work.

Indeed's recruiting page lists approximately 30 open positions from Cloud Chamber, located in offices in Novato, California, USA, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

While it's not uncommon in the gaming industry for studios to continue hiring even late in development, such a large number of unfilled positions could indicate that the release of the new BioShock game may be delayed for some time.

This information matches rumors that surfaced in May 2023 that the game's development was restarting in the summer of 2022, which likely led to the delay. Meanwhile, another BioShock project, a film being adapted for Netflix, appears to be in a more advanced stage, with Francis Lawrence as director.
