Some time ago, many Disney studio files were leaked online, stolen by unknown hackers. They, among other things, contained information about Aliens Fireteam Elite 2, which theoretically could be released at the end of 2025.
At the current stage of development, the project is called Project Macondo. The sequel will remain a cooperative shooter and, in fact, will be a big upgrade of the original part. The developers plan to add a new story campaign to it, upgrade the AI, and add a lot of new functionality.
They will probably talk about Project Macondo officially next year.
