VideoCardz.com, citing information from some retailers, reports that AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors will go on sale on July 31. The exact cost of the new products has not yet been disclosed, but it is expected to be announced next week.
It is believed that AMD deliberately delayed the announcement of prices for Ryzen 9000 in order to first receive feedback from reviewers who are already testing these processors, and to set the price based on this feedback.
The lineup includes: • Ryzen 9 9950X: 16 cores, 32 threads, frequency up to 5.7 GHz, 80 MB cache, TDP 170 W;
• Ryzen 9 9900X: 12 cores, 24 threads, frequency up to 5.6 GHz, 76 MB cache, TDP 120 W;
• Ryzen 7 9700X: 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5.5 GHz, 40 MB cache, 65 W TDP;
• Ryzen 5 9600X: 6 cores, 12 threads, up to 5.4 GHz, 38 MB cache, 65 W TDP.
AMD claims that the Ryzen 7 9700X outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in gaming performance by an average of 12%. The overall performance gain over the previous generation is between 11 and 22%, while the TDP will be lower.
