Box office receipts for Longlegs reach $47 million

As of the end of the second weekend, the film has collected $47 million, of which $44.6 million were earned in the United States, and $2.7 million — in the rest of the world. Despite a 48% drop in receipts compared to the previous weekend, which is quite a high figure for horror films, the film has already recouped its budget, which was less than $10 million, and is making a profit for its creators.

Longlegs tells the story of a young FBI agent who is trying to catch a mysterious maniac nicknamed Longlegs, who has been exterminating religious families for three decades. However, when she manages to track down the psychopath, she discovers a special connection between them.

The film was directed and written by Oz Perkins. The leading roles are played by Nicolas Cage, Maika Monroe and other actors. The film's premiere in Russian cinemas is scheduled for July 25.
