Robert Downey Jr. Returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

At the Comic-Con exhibition in San Diego, Marvel Studios made a major announcement about the next phase of The Avangers, which introduced the main villain of the continuation of the film saga.

It will be Doctor Doom, whose role, unexpectedly, will be played on the big screen by Robert Downey Jr. Recall that the actor previously played the role of Iron Man, who died in a confrontation with Thanos. According to studio representatives, the new Doctor Doom will be an alternative version of Tony Stark from another universe.

The new Avengers is scheduled to be shown in 2026.
