Supermassive Games, the developer behind horror games like The Dark Pictures Anthology and Little Nightmares, is preparing to announce its next game, The Dark Pictures: Directive 8020. On Twitter, the studio posted an image of a planet with the caption “we hear Gamescom is going to be out of this world,” hinting at the upcoming announcement.
While the specific game title was not mentioned in the post, it was previously confirmed that Directive 8020 will be a sci-fi horror game set aboard the Cassiopeia spaceship. The ship encounters mysterious problems en route to the planet Tau Ceti f.
Gamescom 2024 will be held in Cologne, Germany from August 21 to 25, and more information about The Dark Pictures: Directive 8020 is expected to be revealed at the event.
Players will receive daily gifts and rewards for leveling up, unique content. On the server, newcomers and experienced players will be able to re-learn the history of the game world, get many valuable rewards, and also try unique content.
