OpenAI's Next Model Will Probably Be Only Slightly Better Than GPT-4

Insiders and media representatives report that OpenAI is preparing to release a new model of its neural network soon. However, it will be only slightly better than GPT-4.

According to sources, the growth of AI quality slowed down around the summer of this year, when Orion (as the next model is called for now) surpassed GPT-4 in quality. It is assumed that the slowdown in the machine's development occurred due to a lack of data for training. As a result, OpenAI may simply call it GPT-5, and you should definitely not expect any kind of revolution from it.

The estimated release date for GPT-5 is early 2025.
