Roskomnadzor has once again sent a request to the Twitch platform, stating that the streaming service continues to ignore demands to remove prohibited content in Russia.
RKN Complains That Twitch Doesn't Remove Prohibited Content

Despite this, Roskomnadzor does not intend to block the platform yet, but the situation may change in the future.

Information about a possible blocking of Twitch appeared back in the fall of 2024. Users assume that Roskomnadzor may restrict access to the platform due to its non-compliance with Russian laws and ignoring multi-million fines. However, at the moment there is no official confirmation of this information.

The Moscow court has repeatedly sent demands to the Twitch administration, but did not disclose what violations were in question. Recently, once again, the streaming platform was fined 5 million rubles.

On October 18, 2024, Russians faced interruptions in the work of Twitch, which raised suspicions about a possible blocking by Roskomnadzor. In response, the agency assured users that it does not plan to impose a ban on access to the platform.
