Game of Thrones Actress Likely to Play Lara Croft

In October 2024, after casting two actresses for the role of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider series, the Game of Thrones star entered negotiations with the creators of the reboot. Although her candidacy has not yet been officially confirmed, she has become a leading contender for this iconic role.

In addition to her, Lucy Boynton, known for the films Bohemian Rhapsody and RocknRolla, was also considered for the role of Lara Croft. The premiere date of the multi-episode adaptation remains unknown so far, but Amazon is responsible for its production, and one of the creators is Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for her work on Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny and the series Fleabag. Crystal Dynamics, which developed the games in the series, is also involved in the project.

In addition, work is already underway on the second season of the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. In the new season, Lara, accompanied by her friend Samantha, will once again set out to search for ancient relics. Actress Hayley Atwell will return to voice the main character, as in the first season.
