Gaijin Entertainment and Atypical Games have teamed up to present Cubic Odyssey, an immersive open-world adventure game where players will explore uncharted planets, build vehicles, craft tools, complete quests, and battle the threat of the Red Darkness. The game will be released in 2025 and will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Gaijin Entertainment will be the exclusive publisher for the project.
The story begins with a spaceship crash on a distant planet. Players will have to extract resources, process them, and build everything they need to survive, from tools and bases to vehicles and spaceships. These ships will open the way to exploring a galaxy where every star in the sky is surrounded by unique planets. These planets are animated by day and night cycles, inhabited NPC cities, pirate bases, and ancient ruins.
The main goal is to stop the Red Darkness, a galactic threat that turns animals into monsters, takes over planets, and threatens all life.
“We strive to create a limitless open world, where every decision the player makes will impact the world around them,” said Andrey Lopata, CEO of Atypical Games.
Cubic Odyssey offers seamless gameplay, allowing players to move seamlessly between land, air, and space travel. The announcement trailer shows jumps through hyperspace, interstellar flights, high-speed flights between planets, and travel on speeders on their surfaces. Players will be able to explore underground caves on foot and even team up in co-op mode to fight giant enemies, use orbital strikes, or build megastructures.
“We are happy to support independent developers and were impressed by the scale and ambition of Cubic Odyssey,” said Anton Yudintsev, founder of Gaijin Entertainment.
Cubic Odyssey promises to be one of the most anticipated adventures of 2025, offering players not only an epic story but also unprecedented opportunities for creativity and exploration.
The developers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang are preparing a large-scale update called “Breaking the Waves”, which will be available on March 19. Players can expect a new hero, new events, rewards, as well as changes to the seasonal system.
