The Ubisoft Leamington office in the UK has been closed, as reported by representatives of the French developer.
It employed several dozen people who lost their jobs. They mainly performed support functions for other teams, without releasing games directly.
In addition, layoffs are planned at Ubisoft Stockholm, Ubisoft Dusseldorf and Ubisoft Reflections. In total, the organization plans to lay off a couple of hundred employees, saving on their salaries. Apparently, the French are not doing very well, and the studio has long been on the verge of bankruptcy.
Gaijin Entertainment is pleased to announce that the VR military flight simulator Aces of Thunder will feature meticulously recreated aircraft from World War I, in addition to the previously announced World War II combat aircraft.
The plot begins with a spaceship crash on a distant planet. Players must extract resources, process them, and build everything they need to survive - from tools and bases to vehicles and spaceships.
The action game also received a content update.
