Squadron 42 will be developed for a couple more years, at least

Carl Jones, who serves as COO of Cloud Imperium Games studio, said that the team will need another year or two to finish work on Squadron 42. Studio director Chris Roberts spends a lot of time with his subordinates to speed up development, but so far it's too early to talk about the completion of the plan.

After the release of Squadron 42, the studio plans to start creating a continuation of the story. To do this, the management opened a new office for 1000 people, whose responsibilities include the creation and development of the plot branch of the Star Citizen space citizen simulator.

Recall that SC itself has been developed since October 2012. The work began after a highly successful crowdfunding campaign that generated over $500 million for CIG.
