As recent job postings from Retro Studios show, Metroid Prime 4 is still in development.
Retro Studios is the creator of the original Metroid Prime trilogy. In January 2019, an official reboot of the series was announced. Then the studio was appointed responsible for the fourth part. The developers recently broke more than a year of silence on Twitter by posting a brief post asking for tool and technology experts "to join our journey to develop Metroid Prime 4."
However, as is customary with Retro Studios, there are no new details about the game in the job listings. Metroid Prime 4 is not just a game. This is a Nintendo game that knows how to keep secrets better than the rest of the "giants" of the industry.
Metroid Prime 4 was announced before the reboot of the series, as evidenced by a vague announcement trailer. There is no word on the release date, so expect the game in the next couple of years is still not worth it. In the meantime, you have time for last year's Metroid Dread !
