Ubisoft has officially announced the impending server closure of its Hyper Scape battle royale. This will happen almost a year and a half after the release of the game.
A statement from the company reads as follows:
We have made the difficult decision to end Hyper Scape development. The game will close on April 28th. We have created a vertical, dynamic shooter with melee elements, and we are very grateful to the community for their support and help. The experience gained and the conclusions drawn will be reflected in our future products.

Back in October 2020, Ubisoft acknowledged that Hyper Scape had not lived up to expectations, while promising to release several major updates to change the combat, difficulty, provide players with a new experience, and so on. Apparently, these changes to Hyper Scape weren't enough.
