Sony has partnered with Polyphony Digital to announce next-gen AI in Gran Turismo 7 . It will be GT Sophy technology, which will take control of the player's computer opponents.
The authors claim that they managed to create an AI familiar with driving etiquette. In other words, during the competition GT Sophy will try to avoid collisions and do everything possible to ensure that the race takes place according to the generally accepted rules that people have.
The novelty has already been tested with several real players specializing in Gran Turismo 7. According to the results announced by the developers, the AI turned out to be stronger and faster than the players.
Recall that the release of Gran Turismo 7 is scheduled for March 4th.
The success of the title is quite expected.
