To clean or not the pool in The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos

Find out how to complete the quest "The Pool Where the Terror Dwelled" in The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos and get the key to the SLUG pantry

There are two possible scenarios in this quest. Each decision you make can drastically affect the final result.

Clear the pool

Head to the solarium and look on the left for a book with a formula for creating a pool cleaner above it. All chemicals are listed on the board. According to the hint on the board, you need to mix the following ingredients:

• Blue water 422
• Chlorinsol
• Hydrogenated defoamer

To mix all this, you need to set the correct numbers in the bath. If you look in the book, you can find out that the chemicals in the formula correspond to #1, #4, and #5. This means that on the displays in front of the vats you need to set these numbers:

• Left - No. 1
• In the middle - No. 5
• Right - No. 4

Once you have the cleaner, apply it to the pool cleaner filter. Speak with Dolph to receive the Storeroom Key as a reward. You can press him to get extra money.

Ruin the pool

You will learn about the second scenario of the development of the event when visiting the solarium. After reading the note next to the vats, you will see information about meeting a mysterious person on the hotel balcony. If you go to the balcony marked on the map, you will meet Donovan. He will offer money for you to ruin the pool.

The only reason you should do this is because you have previously made decisions to meet the needs of the Prosto Kosmos corporation. The reward for this approach will be worse. To spoil the pool, create absolutely any substance, without following the hints in the formula, and pour it into the pool cleaning filter. You will get experience and 1250 bits.
