In this guide, we will describe how to complete all the story quests of the isometric RPG Baldur's Gate 3, starting with the prologue itself.
At the beginning of the game, look around and learn the different controls. Everything is pretty simple here:

Move through the ship and search the corpses, tables, collecting a wide variety of items and consumables. Howalways, the inventory is opened with the I key. After reaching the last room, before going outside, interact with the neuro-device on the left (one of them will be active) to take the elevator up. By doing this, you will see a person. Interact with him and you will realize that the man himself is already dead, and his brain has turned into an Intellect Devourer, a servant of the illithids.
You have several options:
If you remove the brain, you can either cripple it (dexterity check) or leave it intact. In this case, the brain will offer to go to the wheelhouse. You can say that you will no longer help him, or agree to follow along with the Devourer, who will call himself We. In addition, there are two chests with items at the top. Be sure to search them, and then go downstairs.
Go outside, move along the ship and jump over the gap usingthe "Jump" bonus action on the taskbar at the bottom and slightly left of the middle of the screen. Soon you will meet Laezel. In the future, she will become your companion, but now she will offer to get to the cabin together and leave the ship. Another story quest will also begin - Extracting the Parasite.
Move on until you meet the first enemies - demons. Combat in Baldur's Gate 3 is strictly turn-based. Kill all opponents. You can take one bonus or normal action per battle, as well as move. Your hero probably has both melee attacks and ranged attacks. All of them are normal activities. Defeat all opponents. Try to kill the enemy whose turn is about to come according to the timeline in the upper left corner of the screen. This is the standard mechanics of these games.
Search the bodies and collect items. Before heading upstairs, you can use the blue healing capsule. At the top, search the corpses and climb even higher. Break the slimy membrane to be in the hall with the capsule. You can interact with her, but even if you pass the magic test, will the girl be saved?? will fail (the capsule will not open). Collect the items on the side. You can take a precious chest, which has not yet been opened (via RMB).
Go to the left of the capsule (although in the story you need to go right) to get into a dead end hall. On the corpse of the priestess at the end is the key to the chest. Now you can open it (right-click on it in inventory and select "Open (Locked)". If you use the remote control (click on it), you will see how the girl turns into an illithid.
Return and go right. Get to the cabin, where the battle will begin. Don't try to mindlessly approach the remote on the other side. Be sure to kill demons along the way. There will be two enemy groups. You can also collect items. Even with the help of the Brain Eater, then press I and transfer items from all characters to the main character! When you get to the remote, then interact with it.
The quest starts on the illithid ship after meeting with Laezelle. Talk to the girl. She will say that the parasites in our heads will turn us into brain-eaters. We need to figure out how to get rid of them. After the shipwreck, you will find yourself on the Broken Shore.
Move to the right along the coast until you meet the ruins with the door on which the girl is knocking. Talk to her. This is Shadowheart - the same girl from the capsule that you could not save to the illithid ships. No matter how they tried! After talking with her, accept her into the squad. First satellite found.
Let's get the rest, shall we?
The purpose of the task is clear. And in the future, you will learn information from different characters that you can use to find a way to extract parasites. It will be highlighted by separate subquests:
And now a little more about these subquests...
But in general, you are interested in the quest "In Search of the Druid", which in turn can be completed through the quest "Raid on the Grove" or "Rescue Refugees" ("Showdown with Goblins").
Then, when you help the grove, talk to Zevlor. He will say that the tieflings will come to your camp for a holiday. Move to camp. If there is no bug, the tieflings will follow you. You can continue the story. I have a bug and so far I haven't been able to.
To find a githyanka, you have to travel far to the west. Therefore, be patient and go through a few quests described below. I will return to the description of this quest below when the time is right (I will get to it chronologically).
After learning about Khalsin, head west. Find the forest, behind it is a long concrete bridge. On its far side, there will be three adventurers inspecting the corpses of their comrades. Talk to them to get the quest. This is the most important subquest "Get rid of the parasite"!!!
Halsin can be found in the goblin camp. Go to the room with Guts. Pick upTake the far stairs to the right and go along the wooden walkways. There will be goblins here, you have to kill them to get inside. Go through the door, go down to the cage with the bear (you can find out that Khalsin has turned into a bear, from the prisoner to the right of the priestess; he is tormented by the executioner Thorn). Kill the goblins by choosing the side of the bear. And after the battle, he will turn into Khalsin. Khalsin will say that he will help you if you deal with Guts, Razglin and Minatra on the "Showdown with the Goblins" task, thereby completing the "Rescue Refugees" quest.
After learning about Nettie from a merchant in the Hollow, move deeper into the cave and turn right. Exit to the place of the ritual and enter the building. Chat with Kaga and save. Then talk to Nettie, follow her and pass a skill check so that you don't have to kill Khalsin's assistant, who will try to poison you as a parasite carrier. If you can resolve the issue peacefully, she will say that he has gone west.
A difficult task, as you will have to get the goblin out of the druid and tiefling camp. Anyone who sees you will panic. You will have to pass the test or fight with many good characters. So it's up to you. The priestess can actually be reached without Sazza's help. Youso and so you will see it when you enter the goblin camp.
If you agree to go with Gut, you will have to disconnect the hero from the squad. Just pull out its icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Go inside the room and obey Guts. In the end, you will be captured. Don't waste your energy. A girl will appear who will kill Gut and Ogrsha. The quest will end. There are keys on Colon's corpse to open the doors and return to the group.
In fact, this quest cannot be continued in Early Access. We will add a description after the release of the full version of the game.
You either need to free her or kill her. The most innocuous option is deceit, making the tieflings leave. Why kill a potential companion?!
You will receive a task on refugees from Zevlor, with whom you can talk after you defeat the goblins at the gate. He will ask you to speak with Kaga. Go to the altar venue behind the Cavity in the Grove and go through the door on the right. Chat with Kaga. She will make it clear that there will be no dialogue. Return to Zevlor. You can offer to kill Kaga. In this case, go to her cave and finish off. Apparently the rest of the druids won'tthere is nothing to be against, since the woman is distraught.
You can solve the issue of refugees by eliminating Kaga or killing goblins. In the first case, the task "Showdown with the Druids" is performed, in the second - "Showdown with the Goblins". We'll talk about goblins below when it's time to move north.
In general, you can complete this quest with failure: talk to Razglin and Minatra, agree to help and attack the grove together, supporting the goblins and drow. You can not communicate with them at all, but kill the Priestess Guts, Razglin and Minatra (on the instructions of "Showdown with the Goblins"). And you can give out the location of the grove, but when Minatra comes, attack her with tieflings. Then everyone will celebrate the victory.
To complete this quest, you need to destroy Guts, Razglin and Minatra in the goblin camp. These are the three main leaders. Khalsin will also point to them if you save the druid. And if Minatra sends an attack on the grove (you will talk to her and you will not be able to hide the location of the grove), then you will kill her in battle, and you will have to return for Gut and Razglin.
I do not recommend going through this quest, because it involves killing Kaga. It's better to save Khalsin, but about killing Kagi, not even for??Kat Zevloru.
Chat with Razglin and Minatra. Don't resist them. As a result, you will subscribe to an attack on the grove. But you don't have to attack. Return to Zevlor and defeat Minatra with the tieflings. It remains to kill Colon and Razglin. Guts can be killed in the Goblin Priestess quest.
Chat with people. who were arguing with the druids (before going to the Kage). Having done this, promise to help with your daughter, enter the Kaga building and save. Then start a conversation. If you fail the test or ignore what is happening, the girl will die. Therefore, you will need to make several attempts using characters with high charisma or intelligence. If the girl survives, the parents will give a reward. If not, you won't get anything.
The task will begin after you talk to Shadowheart and take her to the squad. You can hack the door she's standing by (you need hack kits). Otherwise, go upstairs, etc.??go to the top of the ruins. There will be bandits. Kill them or scare them away. Then interact with the door. You can deceive the bandit standing behind her. If it doesn't work, you'll have to break the door. The alternative is to shoot at the hanging stone above the place where the first bandits were. It will punch a hole in the floor.
Once inside and killing the enemies (if you went through the door, then the other will also have to be cracked or broken with an attack through CTRL), search the bodies and use the found key to go deep into the ruins. The door on the left is closed, go right. Take the key from the central sarcophagus and turn off the traps with the button on the left, on the column. If you didn't find it with a skill, just go back.
Open the door on the left with the found key, search the corpses and go forward to the statue. Go to the left of it and look for the button in the dark corner (wait until your characters discover it through a Perception check). Press the button, defeat the undead and search the cache. You will receive a medallion that allows you to communicate with the dead (provided that the corpse is not undead and its mouth is intact).
CORRECT PASSAGE. Opposite the bedroom there is a door without a lock and a handle. Head into the room on the left and behind the statue look for a skull in the wall (requires an Attention check; just stand there until you pass). Click on the skull to open the door. And when alreadyget to the room that opens with the button (read above), and kill all the enemies, be sure to search the large sarcophagus inside. Don't touch the undead! This character will go to your camp and will resurrect any heroes (even the main character) for 200 coins!!!
From the ritual site in the dryud grove (and the entrance to the Kage), go up the hill and go to the left (you can go to the right and chat with the girl composing the song). You will hear singing from the sea. Go down to the shore and see the Maul boy. Talk to him, try to convince him, but nothing will come of it. We'll have to kill the harpies. The fight is difficult, so come here in full squad and with upgraded characters. But if you come, don't leave, otherwise the boy will be killed. And this boy can tell you how to communicate with Doni in order to get into Maul's hiding place.
To get through the goblin camps without fighting, you can save the goblin girl locked in a cage in the back room of the Hollow (caverns with druid merchants). But first, you will need to scare away two staring people by passing a skill check or killing them. If you decide to free the goblin, you will have to move through the entire camp. And anyone who notices you will demand a skill test or start a battle. You decide. ProI did not find a clear way to release her. The cell itself can be broken using CTRL. The quest is related to the Goblin Priestess quest.
When you go in search of the goblin camp, you will find yourself in an extinct village. Kill the goblins or not, go up the stairs to the right and find Fezzerk. Chat with him to find out why they are torturing the goblin. Defeat everyone, ignore the fun, or convince the goblins with skills. When they leave, enter the mill and press the brake lever. Chat with the rescued Bark. If you came here with Will, then you have to fight.
The quest can be obtained from the adventurers who are behind the stone bridge behind the forest. They will tell you that they fled from Khalsin. Solve the puzzle in Gut's stash in the goblin camp, or simply pass the Spot check and crack the golden ornament to the right of the fallen statue, on the steps. The wall will move. As for the puzzle, the illuminated disk should only have a shadow (black circles), the star disk should have only the moon (white circles), and the pul-moons on the sides.
Once you enter the Underdark, you will completely lose track of the Nightsong. And you will not be able to find the artifact until you go to the second act.
If you convince Dino to let you into the cache to Maul, she will ask you to steal the idol of the druids. They just pray over it. You can steal right now, during the rite, but the battle will begin. Or you can after you free Khalsin and the ceremony is completed. Or you can completely refuse Mol.
The quest starts in the goblin camp. Talk to Volo, go inside the camp and pay Grobbo the money. 50 coins are enough to free the bard. He will go to your camp!
Once in the Underdark (through the back room of the goblin camp, which can be reached through Guts' apartments; you need to solve the riddle with disks), talk to the myconid lord Spav. Agree to help and kill the doorgars inside the cave, on the shore. You can first complete their task (more precisely, start it).
The quest can be taken from one of the doorgars in the Underdark. And pick up the boots - from Tilla near Svap, the lord of the myconids. But do not heal Tilla after this, otherwise she will become aggro, like all myconids. Tell the dwarves about the boots, they will allow you to go to the other side to their sergeant. But it's already out of Early Access!
There is a trader in Podzemte, not far from Swap. She asks to find a husband. Go to the passage on the left, right and go down the vines near the poisonous tubers. You will see a clearing with the same tubers, and the merchant's husband. Jump to get to the backpack, pick up the contents and jump to the poor fellow. Give backgive him a scroll so he can teleport. So you save him, and you can tell Derrit about it.
Not far from Derrit stands Glot. You can take it with you, it will help you kill the doorgars. However, then he will say that Swap needs to be killed so that Glot can become a leader. If you refuse, you will have to kill Glot.
To take this task, you need to jump over the destroyed bridge behind the extinct village, where the goblins are operating. From the stairs leading to the mill, go to the right. And there you will understand. There will be blood behind the bridge. Kill all the enemies, go upstairs, finish off the rest and find the remnants of the caravan a little higher. Save the poor fellows, go deep into the location and go to the shelter. Behind the burning buildings there is a barn with a door. After opening it, name the password received from Rugan, go down the hatch and go to the leader of the thieves in their hideout.
In the hideout of thieves (read the quest above), talk to the merchant and buy Oscar from him for 1000 or 600 coins (through persuasion). Talk to Oscar and let him go home. You can give 200 coins for the journey. Continued in the next act.
In a shelter not far from the broken caravan (quest "P?There are burning buildings. Go inside by kicking the door or destroying the barrel on the right. Jump up from the tavern on the right or climb the steps and smash the door to save the character. You will find out where the duke was taken.
In the same shelter, save the guy from the second floor, on which the beam fell. Take him out, talk outside and jump to the second floor of the building on the left. Search Miki's corpse, inform the guy. Follow him to the corpse and learn about the dowry. Find him to complete the quest.
There is a bank of blood and a tiefling with one horn not far from Lost in Transit. Talk, climb higher and chat with people at the outpost. You need to decide which one to kill - the cultists or the tiefling. The choice is yours!
To be continued…
