A detailed walkthrough of the souls-like game Chronos Before the Ashes
Watch the introductory video. When control passes to you, run forward and sit in the elevator. Also follow straight ahead to the next elevator. To unlock the system and remove the emergency lock, run forward and get into the third elevator. In the room, turn right and pick up the key on the floor. Use the key on the console in the next room, then select " Access to host computer " - " Disable emergency lock ".
Now that the blockage has been removed, you can even go further into the previously locked door. But that doesn't make sense since you don't have a keycard. Take the elevator back to the previous platform and interact with the terminal in front of the inactive stone. Select Run System Diagnostics and go to ??amnu. Now you have only one region available for movement - go there.
In this level, you will face normal enemies. Use a shield or dodges to avoid damage. After opening the door, follow the small building in front of you. Here in the statue, pick up a crystal heart , which can be used to restore the character's health. Follow forward, killing enemies and open the wooden door. Walk through the room and open another similar door. You will find yourself at the gate, the passage to which is blocked by fire. Rise above, find the lever and turn off the fire supply.
Follow the opened passage and kill all the enemies. In the next small building you will see a familiar wooden door. If you examine the room behind it, you will find a silver box . Open it in your inventory to get a dragon shard .
Get outside. In the next building, you will also see a door with a friendly character behind it. You can ask him about the Dragon and the Cyclops. He will also ask you to bring the golem's eye in exchange for a new weapon .
Exit the building and go underground. Go through the dungeon, where you will meet new enemies - skeletons. Follow forward, then open the gate with the lifting mechanism. This will allow you to cut off part of the path if you want to go back to the Blacksmith.
Follow next. After opening the wooden gate, you will see an inactive stone on the left. Interact with him and open a respawn and relocation point. In the next room, try to open the door, but you get caughtt plant. It will give the hero a special ability.
Take to the platform, interact with the lever and go up to the next level.
New enemies will appear in this level. Tanks can be killed if you catch their moment of vulnerability. And dodge and run away from the magicians in time when they create fire around them.
Run into the passage on the left, then, once in the large hall, open the grate on the left. At this point, a huge creature will begin to approach you. Try to avoid running into him as he will kill you in one hit.
Follow forward and clear the Sun?? rooms. In a room with a similar platform you will find a piece of a handle , in another room a statue with a second crystal heart . The second part of the handle can be found in the room right below where you found the crystal heart.
Now that you have the two parts of the handle, combine them in inventory and open the passage to the mirror. Interact with him to be close to the stone at the beginning of the level. Remember the passage locked on the right behind bars? Now you are here. You can open the grate to quickly move around the locations.
After getting out of the mirror, behind it you will find a passage to several rooms. Get rid of all the enemies here and look for a small pool, next to which you can pick up a tap key , which is designed to unlock and lock the valve.

Having done this, run to the mirror again but do not use the teleporter. Go even further down the corridor. Here you will see that water appeared in the cliff and raised the wooden bridge. Use the portal and return to the beginning of the level. Where you picked up the key-outlet there is a room where you can insert the found stone. Having done this, a passage to the second floor will open, at the end of which there is a room with a power??th enemy. This axe-wielding enemy is very fast, so try to dodge and parry his attacks in time. If you do not want to fight, then just pick up a rune-like symbol from the table and return to the mirror.
Now that you have your new portal element, look around the back room for a bookcase with a key. Here you can also see a tiny portal where symbols are visible. Install the found element in the portal and activate the following combination.
Enter the portal and follow forward. On the way you will meet new enemies. If you are using a hammer, we recommend that you hold down the Shift + LMB keys in advance and get rid of each of them with one blow. Climb down the rope and interact with the key. Return to the portal, go into the room and take this very key.
Use this key to open two doors on the second level. One ofthem is located not far from the place where you picked up this very key, the second in the location where you activated the water:
Now that you have the master key, return to the first level and after the transition, open the door on the left. Kill a single enemy and take the Kite Shield of the Krello .

Now take the dagger and go into the passage to the left of the door, then turn right. Kill all enemies and insert the dagger next to the corresponding statue. Enter the picture. Follow the path and go down the stairs. Be careful: very strong enemies await you at this level! You can try to run through some of the enemies and activate the stone at the end of the level.
Here, at the stone, enter the temple and go to the wall to the right of the entrance. The wall will disappear and you will be able to pick up another magic stone .
Follow the temple until you find a stone staircase. To the right of it, pick up the silver box and go upstairs. Here interact with the column so that the hero pushes it down. This way you will open the passage. Go down, kill the enemies and open the wooden door.
Go down the wooden ladder and pick up the Spear . Here you will also find a hook and a rope . Return to the place where you dropped the column, combine the rope with the hook and go down. Deal with the vragami and take the crystal heart .
Climb up the stairs and open the grate. This way you will open a fast passage to the stone. Here, pick up a strange box, opening which you will receive Rune 1 . With this rune you will be able to open locked stone doors. Open the nearest door, go up the stairs and talk to the friendly creature. He will give you the Flute . Return to the last stone and follow the locked gate. Use the flute on the statue on the right to open the passage.
Run forward dealing with the monsters. At the end of the level you will find a key card . Now get to the temple, kill the guards and fight the Red Widow . After defeating her, you will receive a wand . Approach the platform on the right and use the received wand to open the passage.

Run forward through the level and deal with a few more mages. In a small building you will meet a bigger monster. Get to the room that has blue and white circles on the floor. Here you need to go along the appropriate path so as not to fall into the ground. But even if you fail, you can climb up using the stairs.
The logic of the passage is as follows: you need to move so that in the images the blue color is in front of you, and the white indicates the direction forward. By the same principle, go through the second room and open the door to the room with the stairs. Here, open the grate, which will help cut the path to the rebirth stone and go down.
Cross the wooden bridge, kill the enemies and run to the altar. Right in front of him, the hero will fall into the ground. Run forward until you reach the red door. There is no point in interacting with her, because at this moment ??Mechanism and will kill your character.
Instead, go into the room to the right of this door and approach the wall on the left. The rune will do its job, and you will be able to go through the opening in the wall. Interact with the mechanism and turn it off. Now the way through the door is open. Deal with all the enemies and look at the stone statue. She will follow you when you have your back turned to her. Ignore it, leave the room and run down the corridor to the next similar door.
There is also no point in interacting with her. In the back room, look for a wall through which you can go and find the mechanism. This device is missing a handle - use the Widow's Wand to activate it.
Open this door and examine the room to the right of the entrance. Here you will find a small shield . When you find yourself in an open space, three statues and a magician will appear at once. Don't come to?im close. You can generally run through this location and open the grate to return to the first room.
In a room with this grate, you can climb higher using a tree root hanging above the ground. Having done this, turn left and open another grate for a shortcut, then return and follow to the right from the entrance. In this room, take the sapphire .
It must be inserted in a room nearby. Activate the picture with the shield (in the same one you inserted the first part of the Widow's wand). But that won't be enough to open the door. To the left of the painting, there is a hidden passage in the wall, behind which is a device with three stones of different colors. Place the sapphire in the bottom slot, press the button once to spin the device, then use the crank to lift it up.
On the left, a passage will open to the tomb, in which you will find a device similar to a lantern . UseThis is the device on the platform in front of the painting to open it. Enter the portal, interact with this device and insert the received lantern into it. Run forward to meet the level boss - Guardian .
Return to the second level and interact with the portal. Collect the following combination.
As soon as you pass through the portal, you will meet another boss - the Krell Guardian. The one who was several times taller than you. Now that you are on an equal footing with him, you can fight back. After the victory, return to the first level, where you fought with the stone golem.
Kill him and return to real time. You need a keycard to get through here, but behind the glass you can see three symbols on the portal. Since you already have all the stone blocks, you need to return to the portal and set the following symbols ( or just use the keycard you already have ).
After moving, you will have to fight the monster that is on the other side of the glass. He is very fast and strong, so choose your effective tactics for the battle.
After examining the three test subjects (one of whom is still alive), return to the first level to the roots of the tree that gave you the gift and go through the opened passage (the grate opposite the rebirth stone will be broken).
At the end of the corridor you will see two doors. The double door on the left is locked, go straight through the wooden door. Examine the right side of the location and find the descent underground to the next magic stone .
Go back upstairs, kill the enemies and open the door on the left. Behind it there is a small altar. Here you need to use a bag of grain . Move back a little so that the bird takes the grain and drops the red stone .
The resulting stone must be inserted into the statue on the right, at the locked double door at the beginning of the level. Climb up the stairs and osmo?Take the room on the right. There is an improved ax here that you can replace with your own. To do this, take the ax from the device, select it as your primary weapon, and interact with the platform again. The hero will put the old ax in its place.
Kill the enemy with the big shield in the hallway and examine the nearest room. Here you will find a silver chest and a locked door with an unknown person sitting behind it. You can ask him a few questions, then return to the corridor.
Go to the end of the corridor. In the room on the left, read the book, after which you will receive a sheet of paper with cutouts . Run into the remaining passage and kill all the enemies. In the last room you will see a platform, if you stand on it, a passage opens in the wall. Opposite the platform lies a broken "robot". Interact with him and use the stone key found earlier on the second level.
The mechanism will come forward and open a passage in the wall for you. Climbing up the stairs you will find a new weapon - Scythe . Go back and open the door on the left side of the room to go further.
Kill the monster with the big shield. In the next room, interact with the altar and apply a sheet of paper with cutouts to it. Don't forget to look around the back room and pick up the dragon stone . To continue moving, you need to activate the levers in a certain sequence. Let's number them from left to right from 1 to 5 :
Enter the opened passage and go down to the stone portal. Use the rune to activate it. Stand on the platform and transfer to another location.
Follow the emerging stone blocks to the second portal. Approach the round door and open the way back to the stone. Run across the blocks again and use the teleporter. Proceed in this manner until you reach a large room. First you need to kill one strong monster, but after his death, two more will appear.
After that, take the second part of the rune and combine with the first. Return to the beginning of the location, use the new rune on the door and enter the next portal. Activate the stone and solve the 15 puzzle. First install the stone blocks as in the screenshot below.
Run forward, then left. Here you will see an active yellow portal, and behind it is a piece of a block for a puzzle. Go back to the device and set the stones in the following order.
Similar to the previous portal, get to the purple one, move to the next area and fight some strong enemies. Pick up the box and open it. In it you will find the third part of the rune . Combine them and return to the puzzle. Install the blocks in the following order.
Run forward to the central tower and use the upgraded rune to enter. On the left you will see a portal that can bring you back, but for now it is not needed. Instead, fight the level boss. After defeating him, you will find yourself in front of a plant. Jump into the red passage in the ground.
Examine the lab. Pick up the yellow box next to the terminal in one of the rooms. Open it and take the lens . Follow down the lab until you find a lens stand and opposite a wall with various symbols. With the lens on a tripod, look at the wall. You will see highlighted characters.
In the last room, use the four pillars to place these symbols and open the passage. Follow the ruins of the laboratory and find an empty canister . There is no point in running back. Make your way to the end of the ruins and open the iron door that will take you back to the terminal.
Use the canister on the barrel marked FUEL, then go to the generator and start it. Get in the elevator. Kill a few enemies, go into the room on the left and interact with the test subject in the chair. This is the final boss - Dreamer . Defeating him will end the game.
