Walkthrough Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition

At the beginning of the game, the protagonist wakes up on a stove in Morgam with no memory of who he is. Suddenly, a skull will speak to you.

The skull will introduce himself and give his name - Morte (Morte), and also briefly talk about the events taking place. You are locked in the preparation room on the second floor of the Mortuary. His whole face is scarred, his back is filled with tattoos that look like some kind of instructions. You need to find a man named Pharod, as well as the missing magazine. But first you need to leave the room, and then the Mortuary.

Mort is the first character to join your party.

Act 1

The events of the first act take place in a location called Mortuary. This is a kind of training ground where you will get acquainted with the interface and game mechanics. Your first task is to leave the preparation room. Since all the doors leading to the first floor are locked, you need to find your way to the third floor.

Find the Mortuary Shrine Key. Use it to open the locked doors and go down to the first tier, and then leave the location.

On the Mortuary location you will meet the following creatures:

  • Zombie. These are completely harmless representatives of the undead who will be safe if you do not give them a reason to attack you. If they become hostile, you still won't have a hard time dealing with them. You cannot talk to zombies. However, be sure to research them as some of them will have useful items.
  • Skeletons. These creatures are also harmless unless provoked. There is no reason to communicate with them, but you can study them through "dialogue".
  • Giant skeletons. You will meet these creatures on the first floor. As long as you don't touch them, they are perfectly safe. However, if you awaken a giant skeleton, it can become quite a dangerous opponent.
  • Scavengers (Dustmen). The regular scavengers (women and men) you meet on the second and third floors are rather suspicious. You have to be careful. After talking to Doll on the second floor, if you have 13 dexterity, you can break the neck of the guards before they can raise the alarm.
