Skull & Bones has become a Fortnite-type service game

As it became known to some media, Ubisoft has significantly revised the approach to the development of Skull & Bones, turning the project into a service game like Fortnite

In particular, this was reported by the VideoGamesChronicle edition, citing several offline sources. The relaunch happened last year, and then the publisher abandoned the traditional distribution model. Skull & Bones has become a service game with a strong focus on interaction between players. The plot will gradually develop through many updates.

Skull & Bones was led by Elizabeth Pellen, who wrote and directed XIII and Pandora Tomorrow. The previous creative director left the studio and joined Wargaming. Note that the company did not show this game at Ubisoft Forward.
