Tips for passing Crusader Kings 3

Crusader Kings 3 is a real-time strategy video game developed by Paradox Interactive. In the article you will find some tips that will help you in passing the game.

Studying the family tree

For example, your leader in France is at war with Spain. From a modern point of view, this is a regional issue - France against Spain. But in feudal times, there were people who controlled various counties and duchies.

Most of the conflict is not nationalistic in Crusader Kings 3. It is personal - one person against another, one family against another, or one dynasty against another.

Examine the information about these people - click on the corresponding leader and pay attention to the heraldic shield to the right of their characteristics line. So you will know to which family, or to which dynasty they belong. Clicking on this shield opens a new menu that has buttons labeled "Number of Members" (number of living members) and "Open Dynasty Tree". Here you can get a good look at the people you are actually fighting. Who is really in charge? What other kingdoms and bloodlines are attached? Where are the lines of succession? And who can you put pressure on, hin order to achieve the most favorable result for the people close to you?

Focus on what matters most

At the beginning of the game, you will not be the owner of a lot of wealth. A quick way to remedy this situation is to start a war, capture some important targets and sell them. Other than that, you can always ask your liege or religious leader for some money. But they don't really welcome it. Focus on finding a good Steward among your courtiers and, whenever possible, craft upgrades that increase the amount and consistency of tax revenue.

Think beyond gold. There are three other things to watch out for: prestige, piety, and fame.

PRESTIGE

How to get more prestige in Crusader Kings 3? Do things that improve your status and that of your family. Building friendships and alliances with major players has a beneficial effect. Winning wars and increasing your holdings works wonders. It's the same with a holiday or hunting - these options are on the right, in the "Solutions" section. But keep in mind that these events are on a timer and you will only be able to run a limited number of events during the lifetime of a single ruler.

PIETY

How to get more piety in Crusader Kings 3? Aligning your actions with the doctrines of your faith. On the character sheet, next to the stat line, you will see a list of your faith. Click on that faith and you will be taken to a tab highlighting its principles and core doctrines. Make sure your actions are appropriate, and slowly but surely you will begin to accumulate piety.

Building a religious building doesn't hurt either, but they are very expensive.

GLORY

How to get more fame in Crusader Kings 3? Fame is affected by your entire dynasty. Basically, the more living members you have, the more fame you'll get over time - and the higher up the food chain those members are, the better. Try to establish your relationship within other kingdoms, either as the rulers themselves or as the spouses of the rulers.

Wars must be fast

Raising an army is an expensive pleasure, and feeding and watering it while on the march is even more expensive. Better to complete it as soon as possible. Come up with a plan ahead of time to cause maximum damage, and if things go wrong, sue for peace as quickly as possible.

To declare war you first need a reason- casus belli. As soon as the troops start marching, you can mark the progress of the war in the lower right corner. Click on the shield of the house you are fighting and a new menu will open that tracks the progress of the conflict. The goal is to get your war score up to 100. Only then can you secure the requirements, that is, secure the objective of your incident of war.

What increases war score the fastest? Victory in battles, capture of fortresses and territories, as well as the capture of high-ranking prisoners.

Want to win more battles in Crusader Kings 3? Stop chasing armies across the map. Instead, focus on pushing them against terrain like mountains or water. To do this, periodically stop your armies and separate them using the buttons in the upper right corner of the army tab itself. You now have two forces that can perform a pincer-like maneuver.

When chasing your enemies, choose locations on the map where you have a defensive or offensive advantage.

Want to capture more fortresses and territories in Crusader Kings 3? Then create siege weapons.

Want to take more prisoners in Crusader Kings 3? Find out where your enemies live. Use the dynasty menu to find the enemy's husband, wife, or heir. Then quickly and strongly?Head to the city where they live to catch them alive.
