Here are some general tips:

  1. Before you try to put it all together, go through a list of all the memories. You can exit the game and restart it from the end.
  2. When you see each memory, then start the game from the very beginning. Somewhere on the sheet, mark the cause of death for each character, highlight other features, including the weapons used.
  3. For some crew members, multiple causes of death will be suggested. Choose different.
  4. If a crew member has fallen overboard, be sure to indicate this. At the same time, there is no need to point out that he is a drowned man.
  5. Check the crew manifest, read the glossaries??. Workers always adhere to those parts of the ship to which they are assigned. Sailors work below deck, officers work from above, etc.
  6. You can often determine who is who by looking at their uniform, nationality, and who they are next to. For example, a steward is very often close to his boss.
  7. Bring the personalities together slowly. One at a time. Be guided by their language, which in itself will provide a simple clue.
  8. Expect that the information will not always be complete. It will take a bit of guessing, assigning names beforehand, and then unraveling the identity. When you recruit three crew members, they will be fixed.
  9. After completing all the memories, start from the very beginning (in chronological order) and work your way through the events of the easier memory.
  10. When you reminisce, check everything you see. Sometimes it will be possible to explore the upper or lower decks. Take a look at the map and determine the location of your teammates. Officers are usually assigned to certain rooms.
  11. It is also important to look at the map as often as possible. As you progress through the story, circles appear on the map, indicating new chapters. If you get lost, just open the map and go to a new circle.

Location of rare and hard-to-find clues

There are a few tips that are easy to miss. The following is a list of important clues that are needed to identify a command:

  1. Rooms aren't the only places to find character nameplates. In some chapters, crew members can be found sleeping or standing near their hammocks. Each hammock is numbered, and the specified number is directly related to the position in the manifest of your book. In the second chapter it will be possible to identify many sailors.
  2. Some crew members and passengers survived. If you correctly identify about 50% of the crew, you can get a letter from the survivors. You will learn that they all fled to Africa.
  3. Some crew members simply disappeared. What happened to them? If a sailor disappears during a conflict, it usually means only one thing - he fell overboard.
  4. During the execution, it may appear that all four shot at the victim. But if you look better, you will realize that only one of the four attacked the hanged man. The rest of the bullets missed their target. You can also blame this incident on the captain who gave the order.
  5. Also consider the fact that not everywhere a culprit is required.
