Nova intended to leave, but her plans were changed by Lucien. He reveals that the stolen letters belong to Constantine, the patriarch of the vampires, who tasked Lucien with killing the thief. However, due to Nova's special gift, Lucien is unwilling to commit murder and invites her to join the vampire side. Nova has three days to think about it.
Returning to the Nest, Nova gives the stolen letters to Vesper and talks about what happened in the house. Vesper congratulates Nova on passing the test, explaining that it was a test of loyalty. However, due to the potion's rebound, Nova lost consciousness. A couple of days later she recovers. Vesper reports that a decision has been made to accept Nova into the Burning Union, whose main desire is to change the world. The team gathers on the roof of the shelter to discuss further plans.
On the roof, Nova learns of the existence of a “Source of Power” that can change the course of events in the magical world. In the Vatican archives, a book stolen by Shen, they managed to find a code, which, perhaps, priv??deets to the Source. Nova agrees to join the team in searching for the "Source of Power" and asks to share Vesper's notes. Vesper reveals that Nova must undergo Initiation. Back in her room, Nova takes out her phone to make an appointment.
