God of War may get a movie adaptation

Deadline reports that Amazon is in talks with Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions to film adaptations of the popular God of War series in the future. It is clarified that the authors of the new project may be the producers of the series "The Expanse" Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, as well as the showrunner "Wheel of Time" Rafe Judkins.

According to the source, this is a series, not a full-length picture. The contract for its creation has not yet been signed, and therefore it is too early to talk about the cast. The plot can be based both on the original games about the god of war, and on the game of 2018, where Kratos became calmer and managed to start a family.

By the way, Amazon is already working on two more projects based on game universes. One of them is a film adaptation of Fallout, and the second is a film based on Mass Effect.
