Sony has combined PS Plus and PS Now into a new subscription format

Sony has officially announced its new subscription service, which was previously codenamed Spartacus. In general, no revelation happened, we were simply presented with a new format that combined the early versions of the PS Plus and PS Now services.

Users will be presented with three different subscription options to choose from:

  • PS Plus Essential - analogue of PS Plus;
  • PS Plus Extra - All the goodies of Essential, plus 400 additional games for consoles of both generations (price - $14.99 per month, $39.99 every three months, or $99.99 per year);
  • PS Plus Premium - All the goodies of Essential and Extra, plus 340 games for previous-generation PS1, PS2 and PS3 consoles (price - $17.99 per month, $49.99 every three months or $119.99 per year).

Additionally, Sony representatives said that the subscription will also be available in countries where it was not previously available. The system of cloud technologies will also expand, opening access to users from a huge number of states.

All these delights, apparently, will bypass Russia for the time being.
