According to Rotten Tomatoes, viewers have given Netflix's Resident Evil a very negative review. The show has a 25% audience rating, critics left 51% positive reviews.
Viewers believe that the authors should be ashamed of the work done, and it is simply impossible to watch all this:
I struggled to watch the first episode. But I could not stand even 5 minutes. This show is an insult to the popular franchise we've all come to love. The writers, producers, actors, and everyone involved in this atrocity should be ashamed." — Gideon L.
“It's just awful, they turned Resident Evil into Twilight. The series is terrible not only in the eyes of the fans of the game, but also in the eyes of fans of the zombie movie genre." — Jose H.
"Horrible, I can't watch it. It's not that hard to get it right, just keep an eye out for fucking video games. Stop changing things and rewriting the canon beyond recognition!" — Mike T.
“Absolutely pathetic attempt to film the popular game series. Who asked for a dark teen drama? Who asked for modern forced "politically correct" themes? The people who wrote this show have never played any of the games. This show has literally almost NOTHING to do with the RE universe." — Jay H.
“Resident Evil from Netflix is terrible . I hate the second episode. Poor direction, acting, plot, character and dialogue." — Fredrick I.
