Jurassic Park-inspired special operation spotted in Far Cry 6 preview trailer

An overview trailer for the new Far Cry installment tells you everything you need to know before joining the revolutionary movement on Yar next month. The video, about 6.5 minutes long, shows the dictator Castillo and disparate resistance groups that must be united to overthrow the brutal tyrant. To be sure, protagonist Dani Rojas hasn't always been an icon for the revolutionaries - he starts out as a man trying to leave Yara before things get worse. But things don't go according to plan when Anton Castillo discovers his own son on the same boat.

Somehow, Dani manages to escape and save his life, and from now on you can explore the tropical island of Yara. Ubisoft calls the game "the richest Far Cry world to date", featuring a wealth of potential allies and missions.

It looks like you can go even further in "special operations" aimed at destroying the nodes of the Castillo global network. One of them is thematically reminiscent of Jurassic Park! Let's hope Castillo doesn't use resurrected Velociraptors on guard duty. And if it does, then surely we can get one of the dinosaurs as a companion ... Madness, but it has long been synonymous with Far Cry.

Far Cry 6 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia on October 7th. Even if you buy the previous generation edition, Ubisoft will allow you to upgrade to the next gen at no additional cost!
