Apparently Alice: Asylum will never come out.

American McGee has announced that he is leaving the gaming industry because EA did not approve the sequel to Alice: Madness Returns.
Apparently Alice: Asylum will never come out.

Unfortunately, the release of the third part of the Alice series from American McGee can not be expected. The author of popular horror, who gave a new look at the history of Alice in Wonderland, admitted that EA refused to finance his future game. Along with this, the publisher did not even want to approve the license for its creation. In fact, the development of the game lasted for several years, the team created a huge illustrated guide, consisting of more than 400 pages, in which they described in detail their ideas and how they see the sequel to Alice: Madness Returns .

With this guidance, McGee turned to Electronic Arts, which reviewed the plan for several weeks and gave up. The company emphasized that at the moment it is not ready to sell or license Alice to anyone else. All this data was provided by McGee himself on his Patreon page.

After that, McGee said that he did not want to do anything else for the development of the Alice series, and he intended to leave the gaming industry altogether.
