Rumor: a reboot of the TV show “The X-Files” is being prepared

According to Bloomberg, the popular '90s sci-fi show is in the process of being rebooted, with Disney considering a "new version" from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. However, specific details of the project remain unknown.

With 11 successful seasons and two movies on The X-Files, the show's stars, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, have already spent plenty of time playing agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder. The return of the actors to the rebooted series remains an unanswered question. However, Gillian Anderson herself expressed doubts about this and stated that significant changes were necessary for her to participate.

"I feel like it's such an old idea. I did it, I did it for so many years, and it ended on such a sad note. To start talking about [a new season], you'd have to put together a whole new cast of writers and pass the torch to it felt like something new and progressive. So yeah, it's very much in the past."

The series "The X-Files" debuted on screens in 1993 and told about the adventures of FBI agents investigating paranormal phenomena.
