Super Mario Bros. movie will get a sequel

Nintendo has announced that a sequel to Super Mario Bros. is already in the works.

According to the developers, the sequel will tell viewers a bright new story, which is designed to significantly expand the world of Mario. About the cast or plot creators are not ready to talk yet, but, apparently, the sequel will be made in the spirit of the first part, but will be more extensive.

The world premiere of Super Mario Bros. 2 is scheduled for April 3, 2026.
