Bethesda: in the near future the release of Fallout 5 is not worth waiting for

The success of the Fallout TV series has triggered a wave of interest in the game series, leading to a significant increase in the number of active players of all parts of the franchise. Despite this, however, fans are unlikely to be able to play Fallout 5 anytime soon.

In a recent discussion on Network X, Bethesda's Emil Pagliarulo, a Fallout lore expert, responded to a question about the game's development timeline. With The Elder Scrolls 6 scheduled for release in 2026 at the earliest, and given the decade spent developing Starfield, Pagliarulo suggested that a new Fallout game might not arrive until the 2030s.

According to Pagliarulo, there is no simple answer to the question of development time. Delays are often due to the need to update technology, which, however, can be reused in future projects, thus speeding up the process. He also mentioned that the team has temporarily stepped away from working on other projects to help with Fallout 76.
