The author of the trilogy “The Lord of the Rings” Peter Jackson announced a new picture from the series, called “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum”. Jackson will act as a writer and producer, but the project will be directed by Andy Serkis, known for his role as Gollum in the original trilogy.
Serkis will also play the lead role in the movie. As of now, he is the only actor confirmed for the project. According to preliminary reports, the plot of the movie will revolve around the attempts of Sauron's servants to find the owner of the Ring.
Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, who previously collaborated with Jackson on the trilogy, are also involved in the script. The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The movie is currently in the script writing stage and filming is not expected to begin until late 2024 at the earliest.
The information was also confirmed by another reliable source.
The samurai action game couldn't beat out only Helldivers 2 and God of War.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
