The XDefiant shooter, for which Ubisoft has high hopes, will be released as early as May 21. However, the developers were quick to refute these rumors, assuring the community that they were unfounded.
As with other modern first-person shooters, XDefiant will have plenty of content that players can unlock, including a combat pass and additional cosmetics. The team stated that any content that affects gameplay will also be available through challenges. They emphasized that they will reward players' time and participation in all matches, wins and losses, and each match will count towards unlocking content. Here's a list of all the free content that will be offered in XDefiant:
The game will also offer additional content that can be purchased for money, including a premium battle pass, character and weapon cosmetics, faction unlocks, backgrounds, and player map animations. All of this will be purely cosmetic and will not affect gameplay, allowing all players to enjoy the same basic game regardless of whether they decide to invest money.
